Dear YWCA Leaders,

The YWCA USA’s Leadership & Capacity Building Institute is selling out! Join us on the River Walk in San Antonio as we learn from experts in the nonprofit sector as well as our YWCA colleagues. The Institute will have three simultaneous workshop tracks: Leadership, Mission Impact, and Organizational Vitality. We are offering 18 exciting and educational workshops lined-up and you will be free to choose workshops from any of the tracks. The Institute will begin at 5:30 pm on Thursday, February 19th, with an evening reception and informal dinner, and will conclude on Saturday, February 21st at 1:00 pm.

Back by popular demand, Lester Olmstead-Rose from La Piana Consulting will be joining us for our Friday morning plenary session followed by a workshop discussing the YWCA Mission Impact Framework. We are also very pleased to feature training by Dr. Patricia Larkins Hicks, President and Founder of The Outcomes Management Group. For the past twenty years, she has worked with a diverse clientele facilitating organizational change locally, state-wide, and nationally. Dr. Hicks will present two workshops addressing cultural competency and leading diverse teams.

Other workshop topics include: Issues Facing 21st Century YWCA Executives, Financial Literacy and Retirement Planning with the YWCA Retirement Fund, Major Gifts, The YWCA Board/CEO Relationship, Workplace Policies that Empower Women, and The YWCA’s Collective Power on Capitol Hill. We have specifically designed these tracks to appeal to a wide array of leaders, including board leadership, CEOs, and senior staff. New CEOs and new board Presidents, as well as emerging leaders, should especially plan to attend.

Contact Hotel Contessa, to book your room at the special rate of $179 per night for singles or doubles.

Once again, local associations in good standing will receive a $1000 travel stipend to help underwrite participation in YWCA USA-sponsored trainings such as the Leadership & Capacity Building Institute and the 2015 National Conference. If you are behind on support fees payments, it's not too late to bring your account up to date! Checks will be mailed in January and will continue to be issued up until the national conference in June.

Sincerely,
