SUBJECT: YWCA Week Without Violence 2015: Register Now!
Dear YWCA Leaders,
Registration opens today for YWCA Week Without Violence. For over 20 years, YWCA has hosted an annual Week Without Violence campaign in October to mobilize communities across the United States to take action against all forms of violence, wherever it may occur. This year’s Week Without Violence will take place from October 19 – 23. We are excited to narrow our focus to a central theme of domestic violence in 2015. In the coming weeks, we will add various resources and materials to the YWCA Intranet for participating YWCAs. The best way to capture these resources as they are published is by registering your event today!
As in previous years, each day of Week Without Violence will have a specific theme, as follows:
- Monday: Domestic Violence 101
- Tuesday: Domestic Violence and Women of Color - Systemic Barriers to Safety
- Wednesday: Domestic Violence Gun Homicides
- Thursday: Financial Abuse and Economic Empowerment
- Friday: Ending Domestic Violence Around the World
