SUBJECT: 2016 Leadership and Capacity Building Institute

Dear YWCA Leaders,

We are very excited to report that registration for the 2016 YWCA USA Leadership & Capacity Building Institute is now open. The Leadership & Capacity Building Institute will be held from Wednesday evening – Friday afternoon, February 3-5, 2016, at the Renaissance Palm Springs Hotel in Palm Springs, CA. The Renaissance Palm Springs Hotel is the largest resort-style hotel in the heart of Palm Springs. We have negotiated a special conference rate of $169 per night.

The Leadership and Capacity Building Institute is planned in three parts:

Wednesday: Young Women's Leadership Pre-Institute Workshop for young women 30 and under. Note: For young women, the Young Women's Leadership Pre Institute Workshop is included in the registration fee.

Thursday: Simultaneous workshops offered along five tracks: Advocacy, Mission Impact, Governance, Finances/Development, and Operations. There will be four workshops in each track. You will be free to choose workshops from any of the tracks.

Friday: Geographic networks meetings.
Who should plan to attend? CEOs and Board Presidents will benefit from the training and networking. It is also a great professional development opportunity for young women staff and volunteers as well as other board and staff members.

Register today (only $150!) to ensure that you have a place at the 2016 YWCA USA Leadership & Capacity Building Institute. The Young Women’s Leadership Pre-Institute Workshop will run from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM on Wednesday, February 3. The Leadership & Capacity Building Institute will begin at 5:30 pm on Wednesday, February 3 with an evening reception and will conclude on Friday, February 5, at 4:00 pm.

Don’t miss this opportunity to learn and network with your fellow YWCA leaders! As in previous years, associations in good standing will receive a travel stipend ($750) in January to help underwrite participation in this YWCA USA sponsored training. Note that since there will not be a YWCA "Annual Conference" in 2016, this is your opportunity to use your travel stipend as it is designated. So mark your calendars today!

Sincerely,
