Dear YWCA Leaders,

As you know, we are very excited about our brand awareness campaign launch today. Your participation even just over the past few hours has been truly inspiring. If you haven’t done so yet, take a look at #OnAMission on Twitter to see our impact! Also, take some time to read this Nonprofit Times article discussing the campaign.

However, we want to let you know that we are fully aware that The Y (YMCA) launched a national ad campaign this weekend. The timing is just uncanny, but it’s real! Please know that our internal and external public relations and marketing teams are currently strategizing on how best to leverage this — with both campaigns active at once, we are confident that we can highlight the important and distinct work of our two organizations. YWCA is nothing if not unique, iconic, and strong – we are confident that our campaign will stand on its own.

We are actively running a robust campaign that clearly defines YWCA as a leading organization working for women’s empowerment and racial justice.

As always, we wanted to keep you in the loop and let you know that despite this unbelievable coincidence, we are telling the country that YWCA is on a mission!
