Join Us Today for a Twitterstorm!
To build on the excitement, we’re holding a Twitterstorm today from 2-3:00pm ET using the #OnAMission hashtag to highlight our mission-impact work. We will cover each of our three platforms:
2:00 - 2:20 pm: women and girls’ health and safety
2:20 - 2:40 pm: racial justice and civil rights
2:40 - 3:00 pm: women and girls' empowerment and economic advancement
Join the Twitterstorm and share how you’re #OnAMission to make real change for women, families, and our communities!
The Next Steps
This is what we have planned for this week. But we are going to continue building upon these successes for months. We look forward to working with everyone over the coming months as you come into full brand compliance. Please don’t hesitate to send us your questions so we can help troubleshoot or create new materials to support your efforts.
As we continue to promote the incredible work of the YWCA movement through this brand awareness campaign, there are some great ways you can participate.
You can use the sample press release or press release template, pitch letter, media list, and talking points to connect with your local media and talk to them about how your YWCA is on a mission. We understand some local associations may not be ready to announce that news, but we hope that over time you’ll be able to share a release. Please let us know if you take this step – we are happy to answer your questions and also want to track the campaign’s progress.
Finally, keep up the great work of moving toward brand compliance. Please take advantage of the tools and templates available on the brand center, have your point of contact continue to familiarize your team with the branding guidelines, and reach out with your questions and concerns to communications@ywca.org. As you get things up and running, send us photos of your progress! We will highlight the best photos at the Leadership and Capacity Building Institute next week.
Sincerely,
YWCA USA Communications
