SUBJECT: Feedback Requested: Collaborative Fundraising Concept

Dear YWCA Leaders,

As you may know, members of YWCA USA’s CEO Advisory Council presented an exciting new collaborative fundraising concept at our recent Leadership and Capacity Building Institute. This concept was designed to help all of us work together more effectively and leverage the full resources of the entire YWCA network. The ultimate goal is to raise significantly more money for our important mission efforts, both locally and nationally.

While many questions remain to be answered and many important details still need to be worked out, the positive response and feedback have been wonderful. Over the past few weeks, I’ve sensed both excitement and optimism that this program will be effective in elevating our collective fundraising efforts and I am thrilled about the possibilities!

As a next step and as mentioned during the presentation at LCBI, we would now like to present the collaborative fundraising concept to the entire YWCA network so that we may obtain constructive feedback and recommendations that will help us develop an approach that works well for our entire membership.

To dive more deeply into the collaborative fundraising concept, engage our entire membership, and begin to answer questions about how local associations may be impacted in the short and long term, YWCA USA would like to invite you to join us for a YWConnect webinar on Thursday, March 10, at 3pm ET led by Jane Winter, Denise Frey, and Kellie Goodwin McBride, members of the CEO Advisory Council. This webinar will provide an excellent opportunity for all attendees to gain a better understanding of the collaborative fundraising concept and its benefits. It will also be a good time for each of you to share your feedback and suggestions on how to enhance and ensure the success of this collaborative endeavor.

Our YWCA collective is much stronger when we work together. By combining our efforts, we will yield significantly greater results for local associations, YWCA USA, and the families we serve.

I greatly appreciate all of the time and attention each of you has given to this important matter, and I look forward to your participation on our upcoming YWConnect webinar on March 10, 2016 at 3pm ET.

In the interim, please feel free to send any questions or concerns you may have to the email address we have created specifically for this purpose raisingmoney@ywca.org.

Sincerely,

Dara Richardson-Heron, M.D.
YWCA USA CEO
