SUBJECT: Important Updates on Collaborative Fundraising

Dear YWCA Leaders,

Thank you for your interest in and support of YWCA Collaborative Fundraising. Developed by the YWCA CEO Advisory Council, Collaborative Fundraising is a program designed to increase donations from individuals, corporations, and foundations at the national and local levels by leveraging resources and relationships.

On January 25, 2016, as part of the brand awareness campaign launch, YWCA USA offered the option for donors visiting www.ywca.org to designate gifts to local associations. Our goal is to work alongside participating local associations to place a corresponding option to donate to YWCA USA on local websites by June 30, 2016. While local associations are not required to participate in the Collaborative Fundraising program, we hope you will consider joining other YWCAs to increase awareness and revenue. Adding YWCA USA to your current local association website is simple, and we are here to help.

Currently, these are the two options to “opt-in” and formally participate in Collaborative Fundraising. In addition, we hope you will help promote our mission by including language and a link to YWCA USA’s home page on your “About Us” section. For local associations who are not currently on the Sphere template, please consult with your webmaster or web consultant on how to best include a giving option for YWCA USA on your website.

Option One

Link YWCA USA in the “How You Can Help” dropdown of the Sphere template (see YWCA Madison as an example of how this can be done). If you are not supported by Sphere, simply link YWCA USA’s donation page to your current giving options on the designated donation page. Sphere users can click here for a step-by-step guide.

Option Two

Include language on the header of your local association donation page that references the larger YWCA USA movement and include a link to YWCA USA’s donation page. Sphere users can click here for a step-by-step guide.

Once you’ve opted-in to Collaborative Fundraising or if you have already completed one of these options, please follow this link to provide us the Collaborative Fundraising point of contact for your association. We also encourage you to visit our updated Collaborative Fundraising FAQ’s.

Thank you in advance for your support and participation. If you have any additional questions or requests, please contact Tycely Williams, Vice President of Development, at twilliams@ywca.org or 202-835-2355.

Sincerely,

YWCA USA Development
