SUBJECT: One Day Left

Dear YWCA Leaders,

Last week, as part of YWCA USA's National Day of Action, we asked you to take action for girls of color by signing your YWCA's name to this important letter urging the co-chairs of the Senate and House appropriations committees to fully fund the Student Support and Academic Enrichment Grants found in Title IV Part A of the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA). So far, 36 YWCAs (listed below) have signed on – but we'd love to have every YWCA represented.

There is still time to act, but the clock is ticking. We need your sign on by close of business tomorrow. YWCA's unique voice is critical to this discussion in that it highlights the challenges facing girls of color.

Our collective voice on this issue can make a difference for girls across the country. We must invest in girls' futures. Sign the letter by COB Thursday, May 5.

Thank you to the following YWCAs who have already signed on:

  • YWCA Atlanta
  • YWCA Aurora
