SUBJECT: Reminder: YWCA Advocacy Day Webinar on June 8

Dear YWCA Leaders,

Last month, we shared the exciting news about our first-ever, in-district YWCA Advocacy Day on August 17, 2016, which will allow us to deepen contacts with Members of Congress and expand our advocacy footprint on the legislative priorities identified through the local association survey. Our kick-off webinar is less than a week away, so if you haven't registered for it yet, make sure to do so! We'll discuss need-to-know topics like:

  1. How to register for YWCA Advocacy Day;
  2. The issues we'll be focused on — namely, paid sick leave, paid family and medical leave, and safe leave;
  3. What support YWCA USA and our guest presenter, Bracewell, will provide for local associations in scheduling and preparing for the meetings with your U.S. senators, representatives, and district staff.

We hope you can join us on June 8 for the webinar, and then on August 17 for YWCA Advocacy Day!

Sincerely,

YWCA USA Public Policy & Advocacy
