Dear YWCA Leaders,
We are thrilled that so many of you are able to participate in today’s Advocacy Day meetings! Together, we are blanketing the country with our call for economic justice for women: 100 YWCA local associations are meeting with 60 Senators and 84 Congressional Representatives across 40 states to advocate for the Healthy Families Act, the FAMILY Act, and the SAFE Act.
In addition to these meetings, any and all local YWCAs can join in the Advocacy Day efforts:
Congressional sign-on letter: Please add your local association’s name to this letter, which will be sent to every member of Congress urging them to co-sponsor the Healthy Families Act, the FAMILY Act, and the SAFE Act.
#YWCAday: Join us on social media and drive your network to action using our YWCA Advocacy Day page. You’ll find shareable infographics, sample tweets and Facebook posts, fact sheets, and a “take action” space where allies can urge their senators and representatives to co-sponsor these important bills.
