SUBJECT: Week Without Violence: Registration Open

Dear YWCA Leaders,

Registration is now open for Week Without Violence, taking place October 17-21! YWCAs can register at www.YWCAweekwithoutviolence.org/register. Registration gives you access to a full digital toolkit of materials including:

  • What is Week Without Violence One-Pager (including ideas about how any YWCA can participate)
  • Power and Control Wheel
  • Barriers to Safety Flyer
  • Variety of Fact Sheets, including
    • Gender-Based Violence Overview
    • Gender-Based Violence and Housing
    • LGBTQ Survivors of Gender-Based Violence
    • Veteran Survivors of Gender-Based Violence
    • Survivors with Disabilities
    • Child Sexual Abuse
    • Domestic Violence and Firearms
    • SAFE Act
  • Social Media Toolkit including strategy and sample posts
  • Social Media Sharegraphics
  • Event Poster
  • Advocacy Postcards

Registration is open solely to YWCAs, so you will only be able to access it using the link above. To login to your toolkit after registration, use the “YWCA Login” link at the bottom of the Week Without Violence website.

On our new public-facing campaign website, visitors can find information, take action on two critical bills (the SAFE Act and the Protecting Domestic Violence and Stalking Victims Act), donate, shop the online store, and sign up for Week Without Violence. By signing up, individuals, partnering organizations, and other stakeholders will receive regular campaign emails with information and action items beginning next week through the end of the campaign. We are very excited about this new way to engage the public in Week Without Violence and hope you’ll join us in spreading the word.

We look forward to discussing this year’s Week Without Violence on tomorrow’s webinar at 3:00 ET. Register now!

Also new this year, we are also pleased to offer a fundraising opportunity during Week Without Violence and the entire month of October. We are proud to partner with Everyday Heroes to offer If Girls Ran the World, a peer-to-peer fundraising campaign. YWCA is an official charity partner and you can leverage your network by giving your supporters an engaging and fun way to fundraise for you – sign up today!

You also won’t want to miss Money Monday, a new webinar series to help increase your capacity to raise revenue. Sessions will be held on the second Monday of the month, every other month, starting September 12.

We look forward to working with you to end gender-based violence this October and year round.

If you have any questions, please contact WeekWithoutViolence@ywca.org.

Sincerely,

YWCA USA Communications
