SUBJECT: Starting Today!
Dear YWCA Leaders,
Today’s the day! Starting today, we continue our 20+ year tradition of marking the third week in October as Week Without Violence. Across 40 states, 110 YWCAs are holding events – and it’s not too late to join us! If you haven’t already, it’s easy to register today and use our full toolkit of materials to participate in the digital campaign.
All week long we will be releasing great digital content, from this Huffington Post piece by Dara to sharegraphics, videos, and opportunities to take action.
We hope each of you will join us for our #WorkAgainstViolence tweet chat this Thursday at 2 p.m. ET where we will discuss what policies and programs help survivors of gender-based violence. Prepare in advance with this one-pager.
For nearly 160 years, YWCA has made a difference in the lives of women and girls. With a legacy like that and a network 2 million strong – we are unstoppable.
Sincerely,
YWCA USA Communications
