National Conference News

  • The early bird deadline has been extended through April 18, register now!
  • Begin planning your conference travel by reviewing the preliminary conference agenda. From pre-conference sessions on Wednesday through Saturday's business meeting, we have a full and engaging agenda planned for all who attend!

Public Policy & Advocacy

  • Read the latest biweekly policy update.
  • Congress is still on recess until April 23. Engage your Members of Congress during this time using this recess plan!

Stand Against Racism

  • Save the date for the Stand Against Racism tweet chat: Friday April 28 at 3 p.m. ET. More details to come.
  • There is still time to register for Stand Against Racism. Your event can be big or small, public or private, and in-person or digital!
  • Take the Stand Against Racism pledge and invite everyone you know to take it as well!

  • You have probably seen recent news coverage about the missing Black and Latinx girls. Read the YWCA blog on this important issue written by Alicia Gill, director of research and evaluation.

New Health & Safety Platform Resource

The 2017 US County Health Rankings Report is now available. This national ranking compares data—at the county level—across 30 health-influencing factors. Access the results for the communities you serve.

Important Dates

  • April 18: Early bird registration for the National Conference ends.
  • April 24: World YWCA Day! YWCAs around the world will observe our common membership and celebrate our achievements in a movement to advance human rights and leadership of women, young women, and girls around the world. For ideas about how to participate, check out the toolkit.
  • April 27 – 30: Stand Against Racism takes place. Tweet chat scheduled for Friday, April 28 at 3 p.m. ET.
