Weekly Wrap-up is on a Mission

June 2, 2017

We are pleased to share the following YWCA USA updates.

National Conference News

  • Space in pre-conference sessions and workshops is limited, so please sign up in advance to secure your space.
  • Online registration for the 2017 YWCA USA National Conference has closed. On-site registration will be available.
  • Want to be a social media ambassador during the conference? Contact Tiffany Wang, digital communications coordinator, to learn more!
  • Share your photos with us! Help us showcase our movement during the National Conference by submitting photos to be part of our slideshow. Email your best photos from the past two years to Danielle Marse-Kapr, communications and marketing director.

Alford Group Findings

A memo went out earlier today to executive directors, CEOs, and board leadership regarding the Alford Group's findings from our Geo-Network Meetings earlier this year. You can read the memo on the Intranet.

Potential Safety Breech

Our friends at the National Network to End Domestic Violence (NNEDV) have identified a potential safety breech for survivors of domestic violence. The public post office boxes domestic violence shelters often use as a mailing address may be traced back to secure shelter locations and other confidential survivor housing. They have invited providers to reach out to safetynet@nnedv.org for more information.

Cease Use of Stock Photo

The woman pictured in one of the photos we purchased from a now-defunct stock photography website, Veer, in late 2015 has reached out and asked that we discontinue using her image. Please take this photo out of circulation. Thank you for your cooperation.
