We are proud to announce that YWCA USA has been listed again as a "Four Star Charity" by Charity Navigator. This is the highest possible rating and indicates sound fiscal management as well as a commitment to accountability and transparency.
Afrodescendientes: Honoring Our Intersections
Last week, the organization Vida Afrolatina, in partnership with the D.C. Rape Crisis Center, made history as the D.C. Mayor's office signed and delivered a proclamation declaring July 25, 2017, "Afro-Latina Women of the District Day." Read Alicia Sanchez Gill's YWCA blog about this important day.
Sign to Support Dreamers
August 15 will be a National Day of Action around Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) and we are inviting you to join YWCA USA in a statement of support declaring that We Are With Dreamers.
Congratulations to Billings and Central Virginia
We are excited to announce that YWCA Billings and YWCA Central Virginia were selected as the final two local associations to be a part of the Allstate Foundation's state expansion this year. They have been awarded $50,000 to implement the Moving Ahead Financial Empowerment grant program.

YWCA USA Statements
Last Friday we released a statement on police violence, racial profiling, and immigration that was featured on USAToday.com. In addition, this week we responded to reported Department of Justice plans on affirmative action.
March for Racial Justice
Some of you have reached out to ask about possible YWCA USA endorsement of and participation in the March for Racial Justice scheduled for September 30 in Washington, D.C. as well as local sister marches in other cities and a Black Women's March that is being coordinated as a part of this effort. Members of our team are in touch with the organizers and we will follow up with additional details as we receive them as well as a final determination regarding partnering.
Stand Against Racism Feedback Needed
If you participated in the 2017 Stand Against Racism, please take a few minutes to complete this important post-survey and share it with your community sites.
Support Fees Update
Local associations who turned in support fees documents and electronic fund transfer forms by the extended deadline, Tuesday July 25, can expect to receive the $250.00 financial incentive by YWCA USA's second quarter of FY2018. Raffa will calculate FY2018 support fees payment based on FY2015 990 forms found on Guidestar for local associations who did not submit materials.
