We are pleased to share the following updates with you:

Week Without Violence

The 2017 Week Without Violence will be here before you know it! Registration and access to toolkit materials will begin after Labor Day, but we encourage everyone to start planning now with a continued focus on ending gender-based violence in mind. Week Without Violence is the third week of October (10/16 – 10/20). We look forward to sharing more details in the coming weeks.

Affinity Group Feedback

All YWCA Affinity Group members should have received a request to provide feedback through an online survey. There is still time to weigh in. Responses will be accepted through COB Wednesday, August 16th.

Stand Against Racism Feedback Needed

If you participated in the 2017 Stand Against Racism, please take a few minutes to complete this important post-survey and share it with your community sites.

Update: March for Racial Justice

Members of our team are currently sitting on several committees for the planning of the March for Racial Justice. We will make a decision soon on whether we will officially endorse the march. If you are interested in participating or planning a local march, you can fill out the top portion of this form and a member of the planning committee will be in touch.

United State of Women: Galvanize!

Galvanize is a series of mini-summits hosted by the United State of Women which equip women to take action and leverage political power in their communities. Galvanize launched in Chicago, where Dorri McWhorter of YWCA Metro Chicago was a guest speaker, and is heading to Ohio this weekend, where Shannon Isom of Dayton YWCA and Desire Bennett of YWCA Cincinnati will also speak. Over the past few months we've seen how effective community organizing can be and these local summits present an opportunity to come together. If we keep working together and keep turning our passion into action, we'll be unstoppable. We encourage you to get involved and help galvanize the movement. Next up: Atlanta, Albuquerque, Philadelphia, and Miami.
