Tools for Supporting ACA Healthcare Open Enrollment
Open enrollment for people who purchase individual plans through the ACA's Individual Marketplace only happens once a year. The time to act is now! Open enrollment for 2018 health insurance coverage is November 1 – December 15. We have seen the positive impact of the ACA in the communities we serve. The ACA has provided access to affordable and accessible health care to 9.5 million women who would otherwise be uninsured.
More than ever, we need YWCAs to spread awareness about open enrollment. This year's enrollment period is only half as long as in previous years and there is only one deadline. In addition, the Administration has made other changes that will make it harder for people to get the information they need to get and stay covered.
Here's how your YWCA can help get our clients and communities enrolled:
- Visit healthcare.gov to enroll
- Visit getAmericacovered.org for tips and tools to help others get covered
- Use our sharegraphics (1 and 2) on social media to help spread the word
