We are pleased the share the following YWCA USA updates:
ACA Health Care Open Enrollment – Happening Now
Don’t forget that ACA open enrollment for 2018 health insurance coverage is happening right now, until December 15! This administration has made a number of changes that will make it harder for people to get the information they need to get and stay covered. Now more than ever, we need YWCAs to spread the word about open enrollment, and help our clients and communities enrolled:
- Visit HealthCare.gov to enroll
- Visit getAmericacovered.org for tips and tools to help yourself and others get covered
- Use our sharegraphics (1 and 2) on social media to help spread the word
Money Monday
Join us for the next Money Monday on November 13th at 3pm EST – Creating the WIN-WIN-WIN! with Molly Silverman (YWCA Metropolitan Chicago). Register now
Geo-Network Meeting
Over 40 YWCA leaders gathered in Seattle on October 31 and November 1, for the YWCA Western Geo-Network Meeting. Attendees were able to network, discuss, and share on topics such as statewide advocacy and coalition building, the Mission Impact Framework and Governance. The group was also inspired by comments from our new CEO, Alejandra Y. Castillo, and a tour of the YWCA Seattle/King/Snohomish’s Opportunity Place. We ended the meeting with a joint reception with the YWCA board. Other network meetings will be scheduled in March and August, 2018. Watch for more information on these meetings, and read YWCA USA CEO Alejandra Castillo’s blog about the recent meeting in Seattle!
