We are pleased to share the following YWCA USA updates:

Greensboro Tornado Update

YWCA Greensboro has reported in after the tornado that touched down last Sunday, April 15. The YWCA itself suffered only an extended power outage from Saturday evening to Monday evening. The facility is unharmed and the staff has suffered no personal injury or extensive property damage. The association is located on the outskirts of the area of worst damage in East Greensboro however, many YWCA program participants are suffering from the storm. Program directors have been visiting the areas worst hit to assess the damages and deliver needed supplies. If you want to help, their wish list includes: blankets, nonperishable food that can be consumed without cooking, flashlights and batteries, diapers and baby clothing. They are located at 1807 E. Wendover Avenue, Greensboro, NC 27405.
