    Good afternoon, advocates!

As you know, YWCA USA's PPA team has now launched a new Abortion and Reproductive Justice Advocacy Community! Not sure if this is for you? Already joined and excited to learn more? On August 3, from 3 - 4:15 pm ET, we'll be hosting an inaugural call (register here now!) to walk you through how it works, how it can work for you, and what we hope we can build together -- in community. This group is for any staff at any YWCA who wants to connect with other associations, is working to figure out how and if to engage, to continue building, and/or find advocacy support for their and their association's work on abortion and reproductive health justice. You do not need to be working on these issues to join this community! We want  to understand where you are so we can meet you there.

WHAT: Abortion and Reproductive Justice Advocacy Community
WHO (should join)? Any staff at any association with interest in abortion and reproductive justice advocacy (whether you are currently engaged in that work, or not)
WHEN: Join the community right now, then  register to join us on August 3, from 3-4:15 pm ET for an inaugural welcome call
WHO (are you?): Please fill out this very brief survey to help us serve you better by meeting you where you are.
WHY? Because every state in the nation has taken some form of action to either restrict, ban, OR expand and protect access to critical abortion healthcare services since the Supreme Court's Dobbs decision last summer. We are best equipped to run this advocacy marathon together, in community.
DIRECT CONTACT: Christine Sloane, PPA, csloane@ywca.org

This community works alongside the already established Abortion Justice Task Force and will continue to take shape based on members' needs. As we learn more about you, your association, and the contexts you're working in, we'll be able to develop and pull in more tools to support that work. Hope to see you there!
