Black History Month

Starts:  Feb 1, 2026 09:00 AM (ET)
Ends:  Feb 28, 2026 05:00 PM (ET)

To celebrate Black History month in February, we are uplifting pivotal moments in YWCA history that advanced equity for Black women. We are using events that inspire hope, resilience and change throughout our history because like Angela Davis said, “I am no longer accepting the things I cannot change, I am changing the things I cannot accept.” The YWCA movement has advanced justice, freedom and dignity for all throughout the course of history and has inspired change that we simply cannot accept. Please join us as we highlight our impact.

This toolkit is designed to create a cohesive YWCA voice across the network while highlighting the work each of you is doing in your community. Included is: 1) a customizable social media graphic created in Canva, a free and user-friendly graphic design tool, which can easily be updated to reflect your Local YWCA’s branding, and 2) ready-to-use captions that grab the attention of your audience with our thoughtfully written captions designed to complement the graphics and encourage sharing. Be sure to add your logo to replace the YWCA USA logo and use the hashtag #ONEYWCA to capture one voice.
