Moves Management for Fundraisers, Dec. 6, 3 – 4 p.m. EST

Register here to learn the process of developing donors by planning and executing strategic “moves” throughout the donor life cycle happening Dec. 6 at 3 — 4 p.m. EST. Join YWCA USA to learn the basics of Identification, Qualification, Cultivation, Solicitation and Stewardship. There will be space to discuss your experiences with moves management. Participants will also leave the workshop with templates for implementation.

As part of the series of advocacy-related offerings from the Reproductive Justice
Task Force (RJTF) with the support of YWCA USA’s PPA and communications teams,
we are pleased to announce the upcoming webinar, Communicating About
Abortion Access: Messages, Tips, and Advice from the Network (register here) which will be held Friday, Dec. 8, from 2:30 – 4 p.m. EST.  

This 90-minute webinar, presented by Advocacy and Communication Solutions, LLC, corresponds with the recently released RJTF report, and will feature guidance and lessons learned from local associations’ work to advance abortion justice and engage in the reproductive justice landscape. On Thursday, Dec. 14, at 2 p.m. EST, join the YWCA USA Marketing and Communications Team for a training on Canva. Debbie Baldwin, YWCA USA’s National Campaigns and Cause Marketing Manager, will walk us through how to use Canva to design graphics and edit graphic templates as well as talk about social media sizing dimensions and answer questions. Following Up: State Abortion Advocacy Webinar with Center for Reproductive Rights  

Thank you to all who were able to join us on the Nov. 14 state abortion advocacy webinar with our expert guest, Lizzy Hinkley, from the Center on Reproductive Rights (CRR), hosted by the Abortion and Reproductive Justice Advocacy Community (ARJAC). We were pleased to be able to bring you content about shield state laws and alert you to the ever-present danger of so-called Crisis Pregnancy Centers (CPCs)/Anti-Abortion Centers (AACs) and ways you can engage.

WOMN ETF Short Listed for Inaugural Gender Equity Investment Award

We are excited to report that the WOMN ETF was short listed for the inaugural Gender Equity Investment Awards in November by Responsible Investor magazine. While we didn't take home the award, it was an incredible honor to be included in a pool of 10 heavy hitters (like Fidelity, State Street and Impax) and many funds with significantly larger assets under management. 2024 YWCA USA Board of Directors Nominations

We are now accepting nominations for 2024 YWCA USA Board of Directors candidates. The primary role of our Board is to provide mission-based, visionary leadership and strategic governance to support our network powerfully and sustainably. Serving on the YWCA USA Board of Directors is an extraordinary opportunity for strategic and future-focused leaders passionate about YWCA USA’s mission and mission.

In addition to the key qualifications, the Board of Directors is giving priority to nominations (including self-nominations) of young women under the age of 30 at the time of election.
The Board also seeks candidates who have advisory experience/professional expertise in the following industries or subject areas: equity and justice; investment management; YWCA affiliation/experience; communications/marketing; grassroots advocacy; development/fundraising; nonprofit leadership; commercial real estate; health care/health industry; and legislative policy.

Please review the 2024 nominations packet for more information regarding responsibilities, expectations, key qualifications and the nominations process. The deadline for nominations is Friday, Jan. 5, 2024 at 9 p.m. EST.

Women Empowerment Series Kicks Off with the Importance of Mentorship  

The Women’s Empowerment Series, sponsored by Procter & Gamble Co., is designed to support local association’s entrepreneurship programs such as WE360 with a speaker series. On Dec. 7, YWCA USA will host the first session examining the importance of mentorship. We hope you join us for this interactive discussion and welcome you to share the communication below with the constituents you are servicing in your local association and community.   

Are you a participant in YWCA’s WE360 program or another YWCA Entrepreneurship program? Have you just hit the group running trying to grow your business? Do you have a mentor? Have you considered getting one? Join YWCA USA and Christi Angel, Managing Partner of Broadview Talent, on Dec. 7for a discussion on the importance of mentorship as an entrepreneur.
