SUBJECT: Final Updates: YWCA Advocacy Day

Dear Advocacy Day Participant,

The countdown is on! In just 2 days, 100 YWCA local associations will blanket the country, meeting with 60 Senators and 84 Congressional Representatives across 40 states to stand up for economic justice for women!

Here are some final updates to ensure a successful experience for all:

Social media and informational resources: All available resources are posted to the Advocacy Day intranet site, including: a video recording of the Advocacy Day Prep Webinar, the webinar PowerPoint slide deck, a social media guide with sample hashtags and shareable infographics, Congressional contact chart with Facebook and Twitter handles, and informational resources about paid sick leave, paid family and medical leave, and safe leave.

Schedule changes and logistical problems: For any schedule changes or logistical problems that arise between now and next Wednesday, please communicate directly with your Member’s district office point of contact. Their contact information was included in the email you received with the meeting times. Given the volume of meetings involved, directly contacting the designated point of contact will be the most immediate and effective means of problem-solving issues if they arise

Feedback forms: Please complete a feedback form for each meeting that you attend (you may submit the form multiple times depending on how many meetings you have). On Tuesday afternoon, we will send a link to the online feedback form, so that it’s easily accessible at the top of your inbox on Advocacy Day.

#YWCAday: Keep us in the loop during your day by sending us your pictures and stories, and sharing what’s happening through social media using #YWCAday! Also, use your Member’s official Twitter handle when tweeting at them, and to tag them on Facebook. Finally, drive your network to action using our newly updated YWCA Advocacy Day page!

Next Wednesday promises to be an extraordinary day as we raise our collective voice in support of women and our bold mission! Thank you for all you are doing to make YWCA’s 2016 Advocacy Day a success!
