Member Services will host an onboarding session for Board Chairs, incoming Board Chairs and Board Members of YWCAs on Wednesday, September 9th at 6:00pm EST. This virtual, one-hour session will orient board members to YWCA USA, its resources, and the support available to local YWCA boards of directors. In addition, this session will provide an overview of the board chair’s roles and responsibilities, which can be especially helpful to newly elected or incoming board chairs. The Board Chair Onboarding session is designed to ensure Board Chairs are well-equipped to lead effectively within the YWCA network. The session provides clarity on governance responsibilities, the Board Chair–CEO partnership, and how local boards engage with YWCA USA in alignment with the Membership Agreement and shared mission.
