Advocacy Partnerships

Act 4 Juvenile Justice (ACT4JJ) is a campaign of the National Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Coalition (NJJDPC), which represents more than 180 national organizations who work on youth development and juvenile justice issues. ACT4JJ is composed of juvenile justice, child welfare and youth development organizations advocating for the reauthorization of the Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Act (JJDPA) and increased federal funding for juvenile justice programs and services. 

CDBG Coalition is a network of 20 national organizations dedicated to the support and growth of the CDBG program.

Coalition on Human Needs is an alliance of national organizations working together to promote public policies addressing the needs of low-income and other vulnerable populations. The Coalition's members include civil rights, religious, labor and professional organizations and those concerned with the well-being of children, women, the elderly, and people with disabilities.

Coalition to End Violence Against Women and Girls Globally consists of more than 200 organizations whose combined expertise, experience, programmatic work, and collaboration with local activists make it a powerful resource and ally on issues related to the prevention of and response to violence against women and girls.

DACA Defense Coalition consists of civil rights, immigration, and other allied organizations who collaborate together to support DREAMers and protect their access to immigration protection through the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program.

ERA Coalition supports all legislative strategies that aim to increase constitutional protections against discrimination, and is working to support passage and ratification of the Equal Rights Amendment. 

Girls @ the Margin National Alliance (G@TM) is a collective of more than 200 local, state, and national organizations reaching across disciplines and systems using a holistic perspective to address root causes of the complex issues confronting girls and young women at the margin.

Health Equity and Accountability Act (HEAA) Community Working Group is comprised of nearly 200 national, state, local, and territorial advocates for the elimination of health disparities for racial and ethnic minorities and other underserved communities.

The Immigrant Youth Coalition (IYC) is an undocumented and Queer/Trans youth led organization based in California. Our mission is to mobilize youth, families and incarcerated people to end the criminalization of immigrants and people of color. IYC aims to build radical consciousness by centering around the most directly impacted people. We organize to create social change that confronts the interlocking systems of oppression.

Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights is a coalition charged by its diverse membership of more than 200 national organizations to promote and protect the civil and human rights of all persons in the United States. Through advocacy and outreach to targeted constituencies, the Leadership Conference works toward the goal of a more open and just society – an America as good as its ideals. YWCA participates in several of the Leadership Conference's task forces, including the End Racial Profiling Task Force.

National Coalition for Women and Girls in Education is a nonprofit organization of more than 50 groups dedicated to improving educational opportunities for girls and women. Its mission is to provide leadership in and advocate for the development of national education policies benefitting all women and girls.

National Committee for Pay Equity, founded in 1979, is a coalition of women's and civil rights organizations; labor unions; religious, professional, legal, and educational associations, commissions on women, state and local pay equity coalitions and individuals working to eliminate sex- and race-based wage discrimination and to achieve pay equity.

National Low Income Housing Coalition is dedicated solely to achieving socially just public policy that assures people with the lowest incomes in the United States have affordable and decent homes.

National Task Force to End Sexual and Domestic Violence (NTF) is focused on the development, passage and implementation of effective public policy to address domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault and stalking. Some of the organizations in NTF include National Council of Jewish Women, Legal Momentum, Casa De Esperanza, The National Network to End Domestic Violence (NNEDV), National Coalition Against Domestic Violence (NCADV), Tahirih Justice Center, and the National Organization for Women.

National Work and Family Coalition is a coalition of national, state, and local advocacy organizations dedicated to strengthening workplace protections and promoting economic security for working families.

Non-Profit Vote partners with America's nonprofits to help the people they serve participate and vote. They are the leading source of nonpartisan resources to help nonprofits integrate voter engagement into their ongoing activities and services. Non-Profit VOTE has over 114 state and national partners, representing more than 65,210 nonprofits nationally.

NWLC Childcare/Early Learning Coalition is a coalition of national, state, and local advocacy organizations dedicated to strengthening and promoting child care and early learning programs. The Child Care NOW campaign is a campaign of child care advocates and allies developed by the National Women's Law Center focused on raising awareness among policymakers and the public about the child care challenges facing America today, including affordability, quality, and provider compensation.

Protect Our Care Coalition is a nationwide coalition of health care advocates, providers, consumers, and workers, joining together to prevent the repeal of the Affordable Care Act (ACA), prevent disastrous changes to Medicaid, and protect and expand access to quality affordable health care.

Strengthening America's Values and Economy (SAVE) for All is a coalition of national, state and local advocacy groups, service providers, faith-based organizations, policy experts, labor and civil rights groups working to protect important services from harmful federal budget cuts and to save the federal capacity to spur economic recovery and progress for the benefit of all.

The Big Ideas for Women and Girls Coalition brings together 30+ non-governmental organizations, think tanks, and experts who are committed to gender equality and the empowerment of women and girls globally. The Coalition convenes key actors on cross-cutting gender issues and works with policy makers to ensure that US government agencies, including their gender structures, policies, funding, and data, serve to advance global gender equality and are informed by civil society experience and fact-based evidence.

The NGO Committee on the Status of Women, NY (NGO CSW/NY), supports the work of the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women and UN Women.

USOW/United State of Women brings people together to tackle the challenges women are facing nationally and locally. Through national and regional summits, an action network, and support for local events, USOW connects a broad collaboration of individuals and organizations to arm women with the tools and resources they need to keep organizing and fighting for gender equity, whether that's through elected office, entrepreneurship, and everything in between.
