Dear Local Association Leader,
I write to introduce myself to you, as the new chair of the YWCA USA Board of Directors. I am excited to be taking the helm as board chair and look forward to working with all of you as we promote the mission and vision of the YWCA.
The board is pleased to announce the appointment of Casey Harden as the interim chief executive officer (CEO). Casey currently serves as senior vice president of strategic initiatives and membership for YWCA USA, providing strategic leadership to YWCA mission impact, public policy and advocacy, organizational metrics, global relations, and member services. As a member of the senior team at YWCA USA, she is involved with and provides leadership to all areas of YWCA USA's operation.
Casey's steady leadership will allow the board to focus on the very important search process for a new chief executive officer. We will be using an executive search firm for the process, and a formal search committee, co-chaired by board member Shelia Carnicelli and long-time YWCA advocate Loyce Pierce Wright. The board intends to include local association input into the process and selection.
